The spacious Intensive Care Unit of Miners Medical Center is a five bed acute care unit.

Patients requiring an extraordinary measure of care or observation on a concentrated and continuous basis are cared for in the Intensive Care Unit.   Their needs are monitored by qualified staff and supportive resources 24 hours a day.

Telemetry monitoring for the Med-Surg area is also provided by the ICU.  It is a multipurpose unit and cares for patients by need rather than diagnosis, including general medical, post-surgical and traumatic conditions, which is presently or potentially life threatening in nature.
