Surgical Services
The OR suite at Miners Medical Center contains a holding area, two spacious operating rooms, Cysto room, GI lab and a post anesthesia recovery unit. Procedures are performed on both inpatients and outpatients by board certified surgeons and include the following specialities:
*General and vascular
*Orthopedic
*Ophthalmology
*Urology
*Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat)
*Gynecology
*Gastroenterology

Minimally invasive surgery is performed at Miners Medical Center using state of the art video equipment. These include general laparoscopic procedures for removal of gall bladder, appendix and orthopedic arthroscopies of the shoulder, knee, ankle, and wrist. Colonoscopies and gastroscopies are performed in the GI Lab.
Your surgical procedure will be scheduled by your surgeon. You will be contacted by a nurse from the Short Procedure Unit prior to surgery. Information will be obtained and pre-op instruction given. Pre-op testing may be required and an appointment will be scheduled at this time.
Our OR team is made up of highly skilled and trained registered nurses, surgical assistants, anesthestists and surgeons dedicated to assuring your surgical experience is safe and as comfortable as possible.
